Privacy policy
Effective September 28, 2026. This policy covers the GradePlanner website and the app at gradeplanner.com.
What we collect
When you sign in with Schoology, we receive what that login is allowed to see: your name, email, Schoology user id, the children linked to a parent account, course enrollments, grades, assignments, and announcements. We only receive this after you approve the connection.
We also store the plans you create in GradePlanner (saved goals, retakes, placeholder scores, and notes) and a session cookie so you stay signed in.
We do not ask for your Schoology password. We do not sell data. We do not use it for advertising.
Students
Student records come from the student's or parent's own Schoology authorization. We do not collect extra information from a child beyond what that login returns and what that user types into a plan.
Where it is stored
Account data, the copy of your grades, and your plans are stored in Cloudflare D1 with a United States jurisdiction. Tokens are encrypted. Cloudflare's network may handle a request at a location outside the United States before it reaches that database.
The public pages on this site (home, privacy, terms) do not contain student data.
How long
We keep the account, the grade copy, and your plans until you disconnect GradePlanner or ask us to delete them. A Schoology token expires on Schoology's schedule (currently 90 days) unless you revoke it sooner. The "last synced" time on a grade is the last time that student or parent signed in and we refreshed the copy.
Who else sees it
Schoology, because that is the source. Cloudflare, because they host the app and the database. No one else, except where the law requires it.
